New Reinhart True Dual design?
« on: January 26, 2008, 09:27:29 AM »

I was at the dealers this week shootin the chit, and went into the service area to check out my buddies Deuce motor upgrade which is another story.
The tech asked me how I liked the new Reinhart system on a new black FLHX.
The front pipe crosses the side of the engine just below the air cleaner and then goes to the left side.  The rear pipe goes out the right side.  Really.
Many have gone to the true duals to eliminate the heat on the right side from the crossover, this design adds more heat.  Maybe it will cool better if the pipe is exposed instead of routing below the cam cover.  Looks funky.  I couldn't find it on the web either.
And no, I do not have any pics, sorry, no camera in my phone, just a phone.

Yup, you are correct.  I was told they were Reinhart and had the Reinhart mufflers.  You could also detect a stepped front pipe.
Very different design. That front pipe is one piece and a PITA to install I hear.

Thanks

I wonder if the kit comes with header wrap to put around your right leg.
