New member just saying hello!  Motorcycle rider since I was 5.  Now 46 and riding a 08 SE Ultra Anniversary.  The nicest motorcycle I've owned yet.  A few years ago I went away from HD to to a Honda 1800.  While it was an incredible piece of engineering and incredibly smooth and fast, it wasn't the same ride as the RK I sold.  Also, couldn't get used to the cramped riding position and no floorboards.  Anyway, back with HD and loving this bike.  I have my fingers crossed after reading about the problems with the 110.  I have made a few modifications including Wild1 chubby bars which improve the riding position greatly.  Mounted a touch screen GPS system and Sirius GT unit on the bars.  Very clean installation using Bracketron assembly.  Installed passenger handrails which DO fit with the speaker tourpak contrary to some threads I have read in other forums.  The bars install was very expensive due to the labor costs and the special ABS line extension required.  Very happy with my bike and looking forward to using this forum for more info!

Congrats on the new bike, and welcome to the site. Sounds like your making the standard changes that so many here have done. Where did you get the line for the ABS? Was it pre-made or assembled from off the shelf parts?

Welcome to CVO Harley from Southern Indiana!   :2vrolijk_21:
I would definiately like to hear more about the passenger hand rails.  I also have an 08 Duracell and I've been wanting to add the hand rails for my wife, but everything I have read says they won't work.  A detailed description and some pix's would be great!

First I must apologize for not paying attention.  I have been active in this forum lately and had forgotten about my introduction with my 08 SEEG.  I hope you guys have all gotten your answers regarding the passenger handrails which were installed nicely on my EG and the bars which were, quite frankly, very expensive and a pain according to my mechanic.  However, they were incredibly comfortable and absolutely a must.  In case anyone has questions about the installation and the ABS brake lines for the new bars you can call my mechanic at COMMANCHE CYCLES in Ventura.  Ask for Joe.  805.532.2068.

On another note, I was having a lot of problems and recalls (as most of you are aware) on my 08 110.  Besides the work that needed to be done, the bike ran incredibly HOT.  Long story short, I sold it and bought an 2001 FLTRSEI2.  I love the 09's but have had a bad experience with the new 110 motor.

Wow !! What a great looking bike. I have a 2007 CVO springer softtail, with the 110", and haven't had any problems yet, but am really starting to get scared. I think I might try to go back a few years and get a 103" road glide, I love them. Oh, by the way, welcome !!

I have heard that some 110's have had zero problems.  I hope you are one of the lucky ones.  I wasn't as fortunate.  From what I know now, the 103 is the way to go.  Good luck and I hope you have NO problems!!   :2vrolijk_21:
