air filter

I got a real quick question. I picked up a air filter cover assembly from a 09 SERG and put it on my 08 SERK. Looks great. What I would like to know is if the air filter element is washable? I didn't get the manual with the air cleaner (darn). Thanks.

No , it`s not washable , it`s paper , K&N does not have one yet .

I wash mine in hot water and dawn dish soap. still is holding together fine.  Doc    Do Not Oil It

Just like Doc Says, Wash in warm soapy water, you can apply low pressure compressed air from inside .

I have confirmed K&N will have a filter for the 2009 110 RG soon.  :2vrolijk_21:

The manual says warm soapy water and no oil.

  Do you know if the K&N filter will require the waterproof sock over it like the stock one does?

nope, but being that it is a wash & oil type filter, I would assume not.
