Saddle Bag Liners
« on: November 02, 2009, 07:30:15 PM »

Since our SESG's have extended saddle bags - does any one make extended saddle bag liners for them?
Thanks
Dave

You don't like the liners that came with our bikes?

I think he means the liners that attach to the inside of the bags. I would like to see those for the extended bags as well.

The liners that came with our bikes are suppose to be removable luggage...
I want liners to protect what ever you put in your saddle bags when not using your luggage...................

There's a guy on one of the other forums that makes them for standard saddlebags and sells them on eBay.  I'd contact him...should be able to find info with a search there.

Found this...but they need to be glued in. I am sure they will make extended bag kits if you call. I don't want to glue mine in though

I also found a guy on EBAY and e-mailed him to see if he will make a kit for these bags.

That's the guy I was referring to that is also on eBay.  I knew they had to be glued in, figured that was a given.

Found This on Sumax website. The extended bags they sell come with liners. I will contact them to see if they will sell liners separately.

I saw those as well but figured the pattern would be different.
Let us know what they say.

I thought of using regular ones (I gave away a spare set - Doh!)...I could then keep registration, tool kit etc. in the extra space but out of the way...

Called Sumax this morning.....as it turns out they have sold liners to owners with Harley extended bags and they all got returned because they do not fit properly.  :(

The search continues....may have to just put the stock ones in and bury the tool kit under it.

Saddle Bag Liners=skinnersbagskins might work
« Reply #13 on: November 04, 2009, 10:44:05 PM »

Don Skinner emailed this to me:
Hi Dave.  No I don't have liners for the extended bags.  I have sold my liners to folks with extended bags though.  I just add 5" to the lengths so the installer can trim to fit.
I emailed him back to see if there was a price difference.
For any one who wants to glue their liner in this should work….

He told me a set of Glue in liners with an extra piece would be $50.00 + $10.00 shipping.
$60.00 shipped - cont US
I am going to get a set.
