Inner fairing hitting tank
« on: March 29, 2010, 09:25:56 PM »

Has anyone else had the inner fairing touch the tank? I have a spot on both sides where the inner fairing has hit my tank  :nixweiss:

Thanks Tequila my dealer is working on just that, both my dealer and I are trying to figure out how this has happened.  :nixweiss: I was reading your posting and you had said it was a loose fairing which in my case doesn't seem to be the case, both sides had chipped down to the primer so definitely a new tank is in order.

yeah I showed the issue to my mechanic who is very competent and he determined that the fairing screws had vibrated loose and the inner fairing was drooping a bit.  BTW I have found several screws which were loose on pick up from the dealership, so I always carry my tool kit with me!!  Good luck on the replacement tank, I hope everything works out ok!    :2vrolijk_21:
