Just saw this install thread Jim.  Only recently became aware of their Road Glide tweeter kit and will probably not be able to avoid doing it.  The old SERG has their plug and play amp and the component speaker it.  Couple of questions:

You know of any clearance issues with the component speaker and tweeter?

Did you consider running the tweeters from the radio rather than the amp?  Probably not an issue but that seems like a lot of output for a tweeter?

Sorry for the late reply on your Q's Don.....

No clearance issues at all. Just need to find more real estate in the fairing for the tweeter's x-over.

Running the tweeter from the radio is fine but these things really shine running off the amp. The output level is not too loud or harsh. Very clean highs. Hawg-wired has suggested to poeple to run them from the radio as the harness they made up is plug and play that way. To run them off the amp you need to cut the harness off and direct wire them to the screw terminals. If they are too loud for your liking at that point you would need to reconnect the wires.

No sweat Jim.  Such parts are just toys to add to the mix so there's rarely a rush.  Appreciate the hands-on guidance.  Got a feeling the old SERG will get these sooner rather than later.

For the SERG they have the grilles with the tweeters in the face of the mesh. I prefer having them behind the grill as it is cleaner. They also offer a kit that is just the tweeters that can be easily cut into the plastic speaker mount. I have done this on several and they work out well. You just need to get out the dremel or a hole saw.
