HELP TO DOWNLOAD THE POI IN MY ZUMO 660
« on: July 26, 2010, 11:45:22 PM »

I need a little help from my friends. I just got the zumo 660 and i would like to download the HD dealers in POI in the GPS. I went to http://www.poi-factory.com/ and I believe  that I downloaded them into my zumo because it went to the H drive. So my question is how do I know that they are there? Do I see an icon in the POI directory?

Sorry for my ignorance. Thanks

Did you use the POI Loader program to load them to your Zumo?

Look under Where to, Extra's, Custom POI's to see if it is there. As the man said you need to use POI Loader to transfer the data file you downloaded into the GPS.

Yes mi amigo......

Where did you get the POI's for the HD dealers? I had them on my 550, but cannot find them again for the 660.

Well.... Still no go. Also, I accidentally downloaded my favorites from an old backup file to my custom POI's. Anyone know how to get them back off?

Gary, any idea's on why the GPX file isn't being recognized on my computer? When I try and load the POI file thru the POI loader, it doesn't see it. when I look at the icon in my download folder on my computer, it's just a blank icon.

There is a way to remove favorites but I don't remember the "how to" off hand and don't have my Zumo w/me to tell you.

Does this computer have Mapsource on it?

Is this computer a Mac?

OK, right click on the file and open properties.... Look where it says "Open with" (it'll probably say "Unknown Application") and to the right of that will be a button saying "Change". Click on that button and it will bring up a list of programs... see if you see Mapsource in that list? If not you are going to have to browse for the Mapsource executable file (the one that opens Mapsource).

It will only show the closest 50... the rest are there don't worry. ;) If memory serves me right you can go w/a 16gb card. :2vrolijk_21:
