Fairing mounted tweeters
« on: July 31, 2010, 01:31:20 PM »

I love the look of the new tweeters. It would be great to find some combo gauges to free up the two spots so you can install these. That would free up space for the dash to mount the Zumo on the dash and get it out of the way of the side speakers. I think it would also give the bike a nice clean look. Any one agree? The air temp is no problem to get rid of. Need to combo two others. Maybe Dakota Digital will come up with something.

This is a lot easier than you think.  You definitely don't need the air temp gauge, and you don't need the voltage gauge either.  The volt gauges don't tend to be any more accurate than the air temp gauge, and if your charging system goes kaput you have an idiot light that will inform you of that fact.  If you really want to know true voltage, I would hope you would use a good DVOM and not rely on that gauge anyway.
