J & M Flex Power Antenna Issues
« on: August 01, 2010, 09:47:25 PM »

I just installed my antenna and took the bike for a test ride.  The reception is GREAT!!!  I get LOTS more stations than with my Dakota Digital.
However, when I turn my blinkers on at speeds around 30MPH  or less the radio cuts in and out as the blinker blinks.
Ideas??

Are you sure the end of the antenna cable is fully seated in the socket in the radio?  If part of its casing is exposed even if fully seated perhaps wrap the ground case with electrical tape?

Don't have a clue if that will actually fix anything.  Things like this often vary or change with even minor variations in what's close to what or where something is laying.  But making sure it's seated well and covered is at least easy to do and it'll give you the chance to move the harnesses in the fairing around a bit while you're doing it.
