Aux not working
« on: August 03, 2010, 11:12:51 PM »

Has anyone experienced the auxillary option just stop working. My radio dont even the aux icon isnt even showing up on the radio face and my 660 Zumo shows a message that says: that accessory not compatable. Has anyone experienced this?

try a different cable, then try a different device (iPod, etc) and see what happens.

Would help if you told us what bike you have. I remember one year of the earlier SERG (one w/cd changer in TP) there was something about the Aux plug on front of radio not working/being connected.

The bike is an anniversary FLHTCUSE3 221 of 1800.
Yes I have tried several different cables and several different components. none works. the Radio doesnt even acknowledge that anything is plugged in and there is not an aux icon on the face of the radio.

I know I'm stating the obvious here, but it sounds like the aux plug is bad

I had a similar problem with my '09 SERG.

The radio face is sticking out just a bit further than the surface of the AUX jack face.  I had several cables and all were to large at the base of the spade to fit all the way into the AUX jack and trigger the radio.

I took the cheapest one I had and carved down the plastic shank just above the male spade and then it fit into the AUX jack just fine.

See if the cables you're using have a fairly large diameter and is just too big to fit into the counter bore of the HK face plate.

Other than that hint, it may just be a bad socket in the HK like Iron Cross Audio suggested.

Good luck and let us know what you find out to fix this.
