The 402 is what I use on the 03 Classic.
Handles well with decent wear.
For me, no need to reinvent the wheel. (tire in this case)

Would be a good time to use that lift and pull off the wheel and inspect everything yourself.
Then take the wheel to the shop to swap tires.

Neal,

You know Twolane and Ghost Rider have a mobile tire mounting and balancing service...  I think it's free for site owners!   ::) ???

How hard is it to change tire on rim with just tire irons?

Neal was just going to say I have been running Dunlop E3's on the 03RKC since they came out and they have been really good tires. I think you will love the E3. I think the last one on the 03 had just shy of 12,000 miles on it.

How's the grip/cornering? So far I have liked the Metz's over the Dunlop so far, but never had the E3's.

I had some Metz's 880's on a 2001 Suzuki Intruder and they were great tires on that bike. The E3's on both Road Kings gripped the road like glue in wet and dry conditions, cornered like on rails. I rode a lot in some very heavy rain with standing water and the E3's never slipped or slid at all that I could tell. I have had both brands and they are both fine tires in my book! Arland
