Throttle body replacement
« on: October 07, 2012, 09:51:43 PM »

My little brother has broken off an aircleaner plate bolt in the throttle body and after many hours failure has caused us to buy a new throotle body. Probably will buy the stock unit, but does he have any small upgrade choices? 103 in a 2011 Utra Limited. Thanks.

Call HP Inc and tell them your situation. They should be able to remove the broke screw and bore out the TB if you want it larger. If not there are some for sale on Ebay

Brian,

Don't believe the 10's and 11's were boreable that is why they came out with the 55mm where they take the electronics from your throttlebodies and sell you a 55mm  and put your electronics in it.    If memory serves me thought only the 08,09 were boreable and then they cut the backs off and put on a larger intake manifold.

Ordered factory set up, not too bad in price tag. I spent that much time in labor trying to fix it, drill bit broke off inside broken stud which caused me to eat my lunch on it. Duh...
