             Pinging is one of those subjects that you get as many opinions as you do people talking. Sorry if you think we were having fun at your expense. The problem is, short of riding your bike and knowing exactly what you have done to it, looking at your plugs, actually living where you do and knowing what the gas is like, I'd have been talkin out my a$$ offering any advice. Common causes of pinging are high compression engines, low grade gas, the wrong heat range spark plugs, poor engine timing, spark plugs glazed over ( as Beags said octane booster is a big culprit for this ) and a few others I can't recall at this moment.
