Jim....Ok, man...you've been holding out on us :o :o  What color is she going to be?  Inquiring minds want to know.

As far as the SE mufflers...the name of the company escapes me at the moment, but the company who made the SE pipes is still making them, and with different baffle sizes.  They are the ones with the billet end caps too, so no worries there...somebody help me remember the name of the damn company!!    With regards to the header pipes and getting the bungs welded on...if they don't come that way already, I will be glad to help you get that done here before shipping them to you, so that problem is solved.  There are many good shops who can do that work here in Birmingham, Alabama.

A couple of guys have already put the "Roll Yer Own" A/C on, so there must not be a problem with leaving the plug for the "flapper" disconnected.

We need to know what color though!!!!!!

The only nice colour there is, of course, black and orange....  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Good color choice, Jim!!  I saw one of those out in the sun a few weeks ago, and it was a fine looking bike!!  I would have a hard time deciding between that and the red this year.

Forgive me, I forgot about the HDI being a totally different animal.  I'll bet there's a solution to that problem as well.  Probably a good question for Jerry (grc), hddude, or one of the other experts here.  I would be surprised if the harness is specific only to HDI bikes though, so maybe it's there for the US versions as well and just not used?  One of you guys with an 07 electrical troubleshooting manual take a look at the schematics to check that out for Jim.

We all want to help you spend your money wisely!!

Can't wait to see the pics of the new scoot when you get her...November isn't far away.  Is the weather over there really raw in the winter?  Wet and cold?  About the only months it gets bad enough not to ride here is January and February...that's when we get the cold and wet days with regularity.

Jim,

DISCLAIMER: Since we don't get the "active intake and exhaust", this response is going to be just my thinking out loud and in no way should be considered a definitive answer (damn, I should have been a lawyer [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]).

As I understand the system, the intake and the exhaust system are controlled by the stock ECM, which reads various sensors such as throttle position, MAP, and rpm to determine speed and load.

The new SE "street performance slipons" work and they're quiet enough. No need for a tune either the o2s compensate well enough for just a pipe and filter change. I saw a nice dyno sheet from a 07 110. 96 hp and 110 ft lbs. Not bad for $500.00. That was a 13 hp and 10 ft lb gain.

Jim,

Of course, since you intend to eliminate the stock ECM, it really isn't going to be a problem other than to tie the harnesses and connectors up out of the way.

Jerry

Yeah, that was my thinking too, Jerry - of course if I end up going with a PC3 instead, it may be different.

Yes, I notices them, BT.  I don't want too quiet, so I'd have to hear them first, of course. And I'd kinda like a tad more hp and tq than that at the end of the day....  ;)  But you're right - that a great gain for $500

Yes, but I can handle the cold and wet - [highlight]the problem is they salt the roads; way too much.

I swear, there are times around here that the idiots put down 1 inch of salt for every 1/2 inch of snow
Jerry

Same here, but I think it's because the gritting truck drivers get paid handsomely for being out during the night.....  Though it's frost/ice that's the problem here, rather than snow. Snow wouldn't be so bad - at least the water when it melts would help wash the salt away.....
