Throttle hog

Does anybody know when changing the throttle body over to the throttle Hog why you can't machine out the stock air cleaner backing plate to keep the factory looks? Pros or cons.

They are popular and well made, work well on the 120r motor. I have had several here for port matching.
Air filters can be adapted with machine work.
I can't see any upside to the unit in your case, just cost and work plus a retune. Unless you have a motor swap in mind

In fact yes it can be bored however its not JUST about getting the backing plate to bolt. There is much more to it than that. The radius on the inlet makes a world of difference. That SS unit flows extremely well and the outer plate aids in smoothing of the air.  In the end it all adds up.   

The unit looks great. At least I think so.
