DD7 question
« on: December 30, 2015, 04:57:26 PM »

Did it ever get the cruise control and RPM limit problem sorted for those running the DD7?  I did a search, but the last few threads were left open-ended with one of them mentioning that they needed to send the stock ECM to dynojet.  I am planning on having the DD7 installed soon, using the power vision, but have no interest in sending me ECM halfway across the country.

Oasis Cycles in Brandon, MS has a "Flash" for the ECM ('think it's from Direct Link / Techno Research??). Oasis is Baker's #1 retailer.

The limiter in my '09 SERG is 6250, cruise control works in 4,5,6&7.

I'm pretty sure the Flash is transparent to other Tuners...

My Bud's 124 / DD7 Skunk works like my '09, he's using the PowerVision...

I need to give them a call one day and find out about their flash and see if it compatible with the SERT and what it would take to get a copy to Oklahoma somehow. Not sure where the rev limiter is set on this bike but I run out of balls before it hits it. 6 gear light comes on when you hit 7th gear and cruise only works in 7th

The .mt9 calibration files for TTS have a "Trans select" option in the ECM Tuning Constants. Within the Trans select is a choice of OEM 6 speed or Baker 7 speed. I don't know if by choosing the Baker option that cruise control will work in 4-7 or if it avoids the need to have Dynojet flash the ECM. I would, however, be curious to know since I'm considering the DD7 myself.

No issues with the DD7 in my 2012, using TTS with the baker DD7 box ticket cruise works like before.

I don't use the tts. I asked this question over on HTT and Mark, from Baker answered with what has to be done.  Dynojet will not need to flash the ECM.

You do not have to send unit to Dynojet to flash.  A good tuner (Fuel Moto) can tune the bike and set the correct parameters on the PC-5 or PV.  Mine works fine.

With some fiddling I've worked it out (no thanks to Baker). Dynojet does have a solution bit it wasn't quite right for me and I suspect anyone else (2008 FLHTCUSE) The power vision or TTS tuner will change the gear ratio settings in the ECU.

The stock rations are ok except for first gear. Change that one to 0.67333. That will retain your 6 gear light and cruise in the top 3 gears.

After starting this thread on this site, looking for someone here to answer your question, don't you think you could have at least shared what Mark from Baker told you?   :nixweiss:

Sure can.  Here is his response from my thread on HTT.

"If you have a power vision you have access to the gear table. Just program in the DD7 ratios 2-7 into the 1-6 slots and the cruise will work."

Cruise works, except for 7th gear.  Not a big deal since I only use 7th when over 70 and only use cruise if I am in a suspected speed trap area.  From my understanding, TTS actually has a DD7 selection which makes cruise available without any trickery.

After a recent upgrade to my gearbox it turns out that I had an older gearbox with different internal ratios than the current gears. After that I had to reset the ECU setting as per the current dynajet recommendations to get the cruise to work again.
