Ipod setup?
« on: March 14, 2011, 04:18:32 AM »

Hello,

picked up my SERG saturday. Great bike ;D
I wanted to initialize the IPod, the radio dsplay showed me that the IPod was not found?!?!
The Ipod was charged, filled with music and plugged in.
The dealer gave me the Ultra manual so i cant read how to install.
Please be so kind and give me a help!
Thanks in advance

Mine would do that at the start then intermittently would lose connection after turning off the bike turned out I had version 8.22 on the radio instead of 8.25 downloaded to CD the newer program from HD website and has been working fine now for over a month so check which version you have on your radio , instructions in owners manual and i think on HD web site /accessories/audio

The dealer gave you the manual so you could check it out??? Let them check it out, !!! you paid huge chunk of money for that bike , let them fix it  :nervous:

Just my 2 cents

Exactly my thought...I bought mine in December and it worked fine after I put music on the ipod.  If it don't work the the dealer needs to fix it under warranty!

While it is in there, have them check out the firmware version of the radio and the IPOD interface firmware. It probably has nothing to do with your current problem of it not playing but since you have it in there make them work for you. I know you are going to love your new scooter!
