Not an expert on this but I have tuned several bikes. I believe when you use a tuner on a bike it mates to your bike / Vin. I think you would have to turn the bike back to stock and un-mate the tuner rather than make changes with another tuner.

No, but you do need the original tuner.

The PowerVision is able to overwrite a Direct link tuned ECM with no other action in between.   There is something else awry.

I have ran into this several times with older 105 calibrations.  The TTS gets an error code but there is a procedure to put the vin number in.  Vision probably has something like this.  I don’t know if it allows end user to do it or if it is something that DJ has to do.  BUT they should be able to take care of you if you contact them.

Yes I had to "rewrite" the VIN back into the ECM of a 2002 V-Rod quite a few years back. ( the first V-Rod in Western Australia actually !)

Owned by a Vietnam Veteran mate ( AKA "friend" !!) of mine. Bike had had a Power Commander 3 which ( as always !) was giving troubles.

Connecting up original SERT came up with an error message , can't remember the exact blurb , but the VIN had to be manually typed/flashed back into the ECM.

Quite a "sphcincter" twitching process I seem to remember...Not had to do it since thankfully !
