Finally production Numbers on the 2002 SERK
« on: January 31, 2008, 04:36:43 PM »

I finally received my letter back from the Moco with the assistance of Brian(103). They are as follows: Total production was 2179 built which broke down into the 2 colors, 1771 in the Purple and 408 in the Candy Brandywine. This sums that up. Low numbers for the Candy Brandy, makes it rather desirable. Thanks for your help Brian. Later,Q

No sweat Neal. I still think 1771 is still a low production number as well. Later,Q

Good deal, Q!  Really interesting to see the Candy Brandywine number.  Thanks for posting up the figures! :2vrolijk_21:

Well what I was thinking Q was maybe there could be a thread where EVENTUALLY there could be a letter from Harley posted that shows production #'s of all S/E bikes.
Then one post that started with the first and listed total production #'s of each model and production #'s of each color within that model line up. Sure would make it easier to keep track of what's out there.

Would be nice to have a thread that had only 1 post for production #'s and then the followup post with copies of letters from the Motor Company to back up those #'s.

Like an FYI thread that can be locked till another letter comes in.

The "sticky thread" at the top of each model's board that we have production figures for has links to the production figure thread(s).  If there's no sticky thread in a model's board, we don't have production figures for that model.  Also, the CVO General board sticky thread contains a link to Black_Dog's thread where he is keeping track of the actual production figures provided by the MoCo.

Is there a way to tell what # your scoot was of the 408 Candy Brandywine FLHRSEI made during 2002?  :nixweiss:

I see sometimes people advertise 77th scooter or 408 production....just example

I want to get a personalized Iowa license plate similar to:   1of408 but if I knew what # mine was in production
I could do like 69/408 ....just an example using the 69 scoot of 2002 production of the Candy Brandywine FLHRSEI

Got a few days before I need to register my scoot in Iowa.......look forward to any information

Thanx,

jeffj

Jeff,
The only way I know of would be if you had a list of all the VIN# and production dates of that model. Then you could look at that info and guesstimate approximately what your number is. Unless the bike carries a badge from the MoCo saying ?? of ?? then the frames (& VIN's) are randomly picked for assembly. Even if you have all the VIN# & production dates if there were two made on the same day who's to say the latter numbered VIN wasn't made first. :nixweiss: Just to own an '02 Candy/Brandy SERK you have "1OFFEW".... there's your license plate. ;D

Arizona allows just five spaces on cycle plates. Mine is: 1N408.

Here's hoping you find the, "Perfect Plate!"

I was just thinking AZ SERK - had 1st dibs on 1N408 - so thinking I could be 2N408  ;D

I know in Iowa - I can get 1N408 and I still may or I also like your suggestion 1OFFEW

Or maybe 1OF408 as Iowa allows up to 6 characters on MC License Plates .......decisions ...decisions
