Need a little help!
« on: February 27, 2013, 01:28:47 AM »

Hey guys,

I am looking for some options on handlebars for the Skunk.

I would like to go with 12" bars but I would like 1.5" diameter. I am told that the hydraulic clutch will not fit most 1.5" bars out there.

Any suggestions on where I can find a set?

Thanks,

Dukk

if you look at a few of the posts on the site that focus on the Skunks you will find some pictures of them with different bars installed - - might give you some ideas and let you see what the finished product looks like.

Happy Hunting!

Check BR Custom Bars:

http://www.brcustomcycles.com/Bagger_Bars_FRB6.php

Bill will make them 1.5", hydraulic clutch, any height etc. no problem.

He will also internally wire them for you and provide cables if you want.

Maybe check with Yaffe?

I have Yaffee 14" OEM Monkey bars on my Skunk, but they are only 1.25".

That said I love them.  Was planning on doing 12's but road a road glide with 16's for ten minutes so I ordered the 14"s almost should have gone 16.

I went with the 12" Yaffee Monkey Bars. It took about 2 months to get them due to the hydralic clutch. It was well worth the wait. The bars fit well and I did not have to change out any cables and had plenty of wire to fit without any splicing. Did all the work myself in about 6 hours. I don't like to rush and the wires are a little hard to get around the sharp corners.

I just installed 14' bro bars from Trask Performance. I love them, Nick makes them to order and they are straight 1.25 all the way so no need to step down to smaller risers

Well, it looks like BR is getting my business. I checked out his site and I think I looked at every picture of a Roadglide! I'm going with the Sweeping Beaters Bent in 13" gloss black powder coat. I gotta wait about 10 weeks though. Guess I will start the season with Yaffe's!
Thanks to everyone that posted. Btw, those Trask bars came in a close second! Very nice!! 8)
