I ordered my Redline Oils from Jeg's.  I live in Wichita, KS and received it the next day, free shipping but did have handling charge.  I'm not sure where it shipprd from but was surprised when it showed up the next day.  Also, as far as the wet clutch goes, it's my understanding that the fluid used in the clutch area CANNOT have moly in it.  I bought the vtwin primary oil.

Been using MTL, now Primary lube oil, probably overkill, could just use good trans fluid. Shockproof is great in the trans, but would make a mess of you clutch! If you think about it, the fluid in your primary is carrying away heat, conditioning you clutch pack, and a small amount of lube to the chain. It's not like your motor or trans where you need high lubrication quality's.

So don't ask me how I know this.... But
When I 1st changed the Sportster over to Red Line in 2003 I tried Shockproof in the Primary since in the Sportster the Primary & Trans share the same fluid.  I did run it a full 5000 miles and while I didn't have any real trouble the clutch was sluggish, no doubt about it.  Then I did 3 fluid changes in a 1000 miles trying to get it all out & get the clutch working properly.  30k miles on the Sportster now with no issues but from my point of view.
MTL for the primary & shockproof in the trans only.

I walked outside yesterday and my bike was bleeding ShockProof. It's been in there for awhile, but it's still brain red on the ground. It looks like it may be coming from the trans cover, it's not the plug though that was my first thought. I'll find out tomorrow when the garage is cooled down and I meander out to the garage around 10 AM. Good stuff though, it still amazes me,

Has anyone tried the Redline 20w50 power pack?:

http://www.redlineoil.com/product.aspx?pid=105&pcid=19

Big Twin 20W50 PowerPack
Includes 5 quarts of 20W50 Motorcycle Oil, 1 quart of V-Twin Transmission Oil with ShockProof, 1 quart of Primary Chain Case Oil, 1 bottle of Fuel Injection Cleaner for Motorcycles, a sticker kit, a Red Line Oil embroidered hat, and a versatile funnel

Guess I'm wondering if you save any dough this way, does or does not include the best fluid choices, or if you just end up with a sticker and hat.

I am wondering if in the Tranny are people using Redline Heavy Shockproof or are they using redline V-Twin Tranny Fluid with Shockproof?? I just put Redline V-Twin Tranny fluid with shockproof and I love the results but I see some people using or typing in there postings that they are using Redline Heavy Shockproof in their Tranny? What would the difference be and being that I live in the Desert and we get high temps in the summer to use the Redline Heavy Shockproof????

Good question! The Redline V-Twin line of products is new for Redline. I'm not convinced that it's anything more than marketing. Anyone know?

I agree with Howie, I've used both, haven't noticed any difference between the two, but it good stuff!!! My dealer only carries the trans oil with Shock Proof now, so I'm now using it.

Shock Proof
Acting like a liquid grease, these unique lubricants contain a suspension of solid microscopic particles as an extreme pressure agent, offering a "best of both worlds" balance of low drag and superior protection for gear teeth Unique lubricant with solid microscopic particles offers low drag/high protection
Relatively low viscosity, yet cushions gear teeth under extreme pressure
Helps to prevent tooth breakage, resists throw-off
Avoid use with pumps, coolers, and filters as unique medium and affinity for metal can cause clogging

V-Twin Trans Oil with Shock Proof
This product dampens transmission noise (reducing the notorious shifting clunk found in these gearboxes), dramatically reduces temperature, provides thicker oil films between gear teeth and resists throw-off
For all aftermarket versions like Baker, JIMS, S&S, etc.
For all H-D® trans including with Evolution engines, Twin Cam engines, and latest 6-speed Cruise Drive
Same fluid as our unique Heavy ShockProof® Gear Oil

The primary and the trans have different opinions of what they need. To many times on forums I've seen advertisements disguised as posts. Thick gear lub in the tranny and some thing thin in the primary. Automatic transmission fluid works best for me with the clutch. It drags with 20w50 and even worst with the high dollar stuff that is advertised. Ever notice the problems on newer bikes that quote how they only ran the newer lubricants but something failed. Advertisers don't have the best interests in your bike only in selling some thing expensive.
