I hated my real estate agent, very arrogant and she acted like I didn't know what I wanted.  [That's probably why they make you sign a 3 month commitment.]  They fcut this whole economy up and everyone else is paying for it.  If you could walk and chew gum, you could buy a house and get back 5K at closing, the bubble had to burst sometime.  I hate car salesman too, pushy kiss ass liars, then.....you're a door mat.  I have no complaints about Harley sales reps, and I am not sure if they are all cool across the world, but...  Buying a Harley was a good experience and I am sad to hear that any of them are closing. :sad2: :thumbdown:

Dick's Harley Davidson in Rome, NY is toast after 50 plus years as a low overhead small town dealer with a very loyal following........ :(

I bought two bikes there and my brother has bought 3 or 4 over the past 10 years. Guess our family "OCD" (obsessive chrome disorder) wasn't as wide spread as we thought......

Update on Dick's HD.............they are staying open afterall.  :2vrolijk_21:

Albeit they are no longer an authorized Harley dealership.........can't believe Harley is still pushing Dealer's in this economy to invest large sums of money to build state of art facilities. This type of over investment has a been a contributing factor for many of the dealerships that have closed recently......go figure.  :nixweiss:

Hey, I was in Roseburg in the spring of '07. I stopped by Doyle's HD and bought a t-shirt. I flew into Eugene from Salt Lake City, and drove down I-5 to Roseburg. Doyle's also had a dealership on the east side of the interstate just south of Eugene. Maybe they consolidated the two stores and kept open the one up in Eugene? The store in Roseburg only had about 6 bikes in there, but a chitload of friggin' knick-knacks.

I'm pretty fortunate to travel a lot for work. I get to pick up shirts from all over, and I only wear shirts from dealerships that I personally visited. It just sucks to hear about them closing.

What's really sad is one of our local HD Dealerships, one of the oldest Matthews HD in Fresno applied to expand their store and HD told them they would not approve it unless they moved from the area they have been in since the 50's.  What is the world coming to, you own a piece of property try to grow your business, put some money into it and the Mother Company says NO you have to move.
