The Foundery in Kent England is apparently being shut down, because it was selling alot of bikes new or used into Germany and Belgium while the £/€ exchange rate has been in favour, the european delaership caught wind of the trend and they complained to MOCO................

American Harley Davidson Ann Arbor Michigan closed/Merged with Brighton Crossroads HD Brighton Michigan

some and inventory absorbed by the renamed American Brighton HD in Brighton apparently took place Aug 16th. Got a message from the Gen Manager at American today.

Just announced that Albany HD in Georgia will be closing and consolidating into what was the satellite shop in Tifton, GA
Tifton is in process of a huge expansion which will make it a must stop along I-75 in Georgia.

Just saw that when I went by there this past Saturday. Going to be twice the size it seemed from the Highway!

Actually in ENGLAND all the dealers sell bikes that are capable of showing either Km or Miles on the speedo, which is something some of us European riders would like as some of us travel to England sometimes, which really sucks having to check and convert speed limits and distances all the time

Millville HD closed in May and it's satellite in Wildwood HD closed.
They were building a new store in Vineland which obviously stopped construction.

I was at Wildwood two weeks ago.  The store there is still open but it's not a Harley Dealer anymore.  Same owners.  What I hear is that HD corp was pushing them to sell more bikes out of that location.  Since people don't visit the shore to buy a bike, they really couldn't increase their sales of bikes.  Of course they moved tons of shirts and other merchandise and it was great to have a place to get the ole' scoot fixed up if she through a shoe on holiday.  Now if it's warrenty work you need while away at the south Jersey shore you have to head an hour north to Atlantic county.

don't forget how many shops closed or kicked out H-D during the last years in D-A-CH, Nigel. In GR it's their third shot now if I recall correctly.

Bob Dron has decided to retire and will be closing his dealership in Oakland, CA after 40 years as a Harley-Davidson Dealer. Many of us have had major issues with the Dron dealership pricing and service philosophy over the  years, but still sad to see someone pull the plug after 40 years.

The MOCO has given Faultline H-D in Fremont the opportunity to relocate to the newer 4 year old Oakland facility and changing their name to Oakland Harley-Davidson. The Fremont dealership will close on October 3rd and the Faultline management and service crew will open as the new Oakland Harley-Davidson on October 6th.

What will happen to the two separate HOG chapters is still to be determined but looks like the Fremont chapter will remain with the existing sponsorship and the Oakland members will be given membership under the new Oakland dealership.
