There is speculation that high real estate costs played a role in the dealer’s demise. “Harley wanted her to build this and she did; now it’s closing—very sad,” GM Jack Corbin told the newspaper.


“They needed to move [from their old site] for a long time. Unfortunately, the building they have now has costs that make their overhead very difficult,” says Bob Henig, owner of Bob’s BMW in Annapolis Junction.





I'm sure the high overhead played a role...but if they treated other customers the way they did me...then they deserve to be gone. Bought 2 bikes in three months. Was told the 1,000 mile service would be included on the second...then backed-out the day I took delivery.  >:( They did not see me again.......

H-D satellite store in the Charlotte Airport closed...

But a H-D satellite store opened in Key West on Duval Street...

Greetings,

Didn't read through all the posts but in case no one has reported this: F & S Harley-Davidson in Dayton, Ohio has closed.  They were a long time family run dealership (where I worked for a while) that was very big in flat track racing and sponsored a number of race events.  We sold XR750 parts and there were several people working there that were very knowledgeable in both old and current parts.  Sad to see it go.

They have just in the last week opened up with new ownership under the name Buckeye Harley-Davidson.  I believe the new owners are the same folks who own Thiel's Wheels in Upper Sandusky, Ohio.

All I have right now.

Have a look at the list in the first post of this thread, I havent checked every post in this thread to confirm that it up to date, but it appears to have most of the closed USA dealers listed

They need wealthy "Dopes".
Preferable the ones that earned "it" the old fashioned way........They inherited it.

Hard to justify the ROI now, unless you want to ruin a "Hobby".

I heard that Ghost Town Harley closed Saturday.... Their website showes no bikes...
