Ok so that pic looks like we are ready for take off not a ride. Wanted to make the best of time so left Muskogee and jumped on I 44 to St James. Picked up hwy 8 just south of St James and head to the camp ground and got all set up.

Jumped on the bike Saturday morning with no plans but just to wonder. Headed east on a bunch of lettered hwys that there is no way we could repeat till we came to this. Guess this is one of the few bridges south of St Louis where you can cross the Mississippi river.

Crossed into a town called Chester IL. Who know we would find the home of Popeye!! I'll have to read on that one some when I get home.

Spent the rest of the afternoon wondering some more of those Lettered road, back towards the camp. We ride NW Ar a lot and it must have been our lucky day because of 350+ miles of backroad and lettered highways we only had one turn to dirt on us today.

Sunday was more of the same. So many roads that all seem to be great rides. We ran across an old general store in Bixby Mo that had been in business for well over 100 years. Some of the stuff that was hanging on the walls and setting on the shelfs sure brought back some memory. Just outside of Bixby found an old mill that appeared to be still.in operating condition.

Well all the good seemed to have played out today. We started back towards Muskogee this morning and for any of you the ever get the chance to ride Hwy 19 south from I 44 you need to take it. Great road! Anyway we ran 19 south to hwy 50 and started west. Absolutely Mt Grove it was time to remove some coffee and replace some coffee. You know, kind of like changing the oil. So full of coffee, full of gas,.lets hit the road
..well for about 3 miles. Old girl guess needed a break. Best I can tell is something is going on with the check/quick release on the fuel line. I can disconnect it and fuel drains from the tank, clip it back up and bike will run about 15 second. Figure it out when we get home. Loaded old girl up to get us off the side of the road. So this ride report has came to you from McDonald's in Mt. Grove Mo while I am waiting on my boy to bring a trailer to get us home. But hey we are still breathing, I  have an unlimited supply of coffee and their A/C work!!

Yea, it was a 5 minute fix once I got it home. The top o-ring in the check valve had somehow managed to push it way out and was blocking fuel.

So far wife and I both still enjoy the tent route. We pack up a small grill too so most of our meals are somewhat simple and enjoyable.
