Take a walk outside and look at the moon. There is a huge ring around it. The diameter of the ring looks to be about 20 -30 times the diameter of the moon and it is very narrow.

It's a prismatic effect of light reflecting through ice in the upper atmosphere.  There's some fancy word for the effect.  Can't think of it right now.  But it sure looks cool.

Chit, looks like I'm SOL.  I turned the lights off and looked out the window where I'm at and couldn't even see any stars.  Wondered why and then looked at this:
