29 Dreams
« on: July 27, 2008, 05:53:14 PM »

Yesterday was the first day I've ridden in some time.  Today was the first day Renea and I have ridden in an equivalent time.  We went to 29 Dreams.  Took back roads to get there and back........momentarily touching I59-I459-I20.  It felt so good to get out and ride despite the heat............It was just so good to get out and ride.

So here's a few pictures of 29 Dreams.  Here's one of my lovely in the lodge upon our arrival.

Others have posted about this jewel of a motorcycle resort, so you know the details.  Here's some of the cabins.  There is a bath house, and plenty of tent areas, firepits, and the place is to relaxing, laid back, and well policed.  No assholes allowed.  Makes for a great day trip if you're up for a 300 miler.  We haven't been here in awhile, and since today was the first day we've ridden in awhile, we spontaneously decided to ride down to 29 Dreams this morning.

The pavillion.  Renea and I each had one of their awesome gourmet hamburgers, and hit the highway.  We took the long way home.  Headed down AL 25 to US231, and then got on I-20 headed to AL 77.  We wanted to go to Talladega Superspeedway and see want the place looks like without the crowd.  kinda nice actually.  I would have loved to have taken a couple hot laps..................but that wasn't happening.  Then we headed up AL 77 to US 431 and back to Huntsville.  Just an awesome ride....................even in this heat...................It was just great to get out and RIDE.  Later!

Last one.  Today's track.  ZUMO says 287 miles.  OK then.  ODO says 309 miles.

I think........................I'm supposed to fire up the grill and cook some ribs and pork chops.

It feels so good to be back to normal!

Hey Henry, I'm glad you guys got to get and ride. I haven't been doing much riding lately an account of this pesky little job issue. Maybe that will change soon!
