what a difference 9 days makes

burned a vacation day today to go riding was about freezing when i left this morning at 8am but i had plans to meet another site member and i wasnt going to bail. the news did show part of my planned route at 21F at that hour  :nervous:

about 2 1/2 hours later i was in north adams, you remeber the nice foliage pics from jock and WFP?

down into town to thaw out at dunkin donuts. had the heated gear on max today to keep the cold out but my legs were freezing

your right thats GH modeling his cold weather gear

the cold had us stay at dunks for a while and we decided to skip a loop ride that we had planned and find some lunch instead, mental note "brew ha ha" isnt  :drink: brew, so we took a chance on the artery pub instead. had a nice lazy lunch and  :drink: GH was kind enough to bring me a growler of his local favorite which i am enjoying as i post tonight. really is good stuff  :2vrolijk_21:

by the time we left lunch it was after 3pm and we each had a long ride back to try and beat sundown and the cold

i stopped above the town for a few quick pics

one last SERK shot, did 235 miles today probally a bit less then GH but had a great time on what will probally be the last 100+ mile day of the year for me, thanks GH

The neighbors from the cabin in N. Wisconsin emailed pictures today...  So much for fall up there - the trees are almost bare already!  We didn't make it up this fall and now it's to late.... ???

Looks more like he was glad to be off that bike and getting somewhere that was warm. ;D Glad you had a good time, but dang it gives me chills thinking about that ride. :coolblue:

Had a great time, a little chilly, just a reminder of how good it is to be alive  ??? This pic was taken on the ride home. There is someone flying around if you look in the upper left of the pic. See 'em?  ;) Wonder how cool it was up there??
