Hit a Coyote or a Big Ass Dog...

At 70 Mph on the Orange Crush in Illinois Thursday Night....Damn I thought it was over, I hit him with the left side of the engine guard, saw his big AZZ on thought oh sh****T. Bent the engine guard all the way back to the floor board , bent the board up . broke the clamp and the faring mount. Felt a hell of  a shock in my left leg. right after I heard a big thump. had I not  an engine guard on My left ankle would have been toast, I am grateful I stayed up!. I wouldn't recommend this as a selling point for the -09's but I am damn glad I was  on one. Total out of pocket expense to fix about $600...still ridin it and just pulled in to Nashville,,,priceless..Greg No I didn't take pics...but I saved old bar in case I want to turn it in to insurance....Greg

Great to see you're ok Greg.  Also glad the bike isn't at all bad.  But best of all is you're fine.  I like dogs.  But damn they're stupid sometimes.

Glad you was able to stay vertical!!  I had a buddy who hit a deer and was able to keep the bike up as well, but he has no real recollection of how he did it.  His Fruit Of The Looms didn't fair near as well. ;D

Glad you kept your ride up. I don't think that I would file a $600.00 claim on my insurance. Will more than likely end up in higher premiums later. Just my 2c.

Glad it wasnt worse. In the 2 or 3 weeks Ive had this bike I have had 3 close calls, a kitten, a dog and get this...a big ass peacock.
