I just wanted to let other motorcyclists in Texas know that the Texas Department of Transportation has a pilot program for specialty license plates for motorcycles for the first time ever.  They have the following plates:

Airborne Parachutists
Enduring Freedom
Fight Terrorism
God Bless America
God Bless Texas
Native Texan
Operation Iraqi Freedom
Vietnam Veterans

If the State doesn't sell enough of these during the pilot program, this opportunity will be scraped.  If they do sell enough, more selections similar to those that are currently available on passenger plates will be available as well.  

For those who are interested, pictures of the plates, costs of the plates, and the applications are located on their website at:

If they have any problem with the website, they can call the TxDOT's Vehicle Titles and Registration Division at (512) 465-7611 and ask for the Special Plates Branch.

Please help us sell enough of these plates that they will continue to offer them to motorcyclists!  Thanks!

That's nice considering the offering of other states...nothing for bikes in GA expect vanity plates...enjoy the difference.
