Now I'm stuck w/the dilemma. I'm torn between choosing "1K Service will bring big changes", and "Won't make it to 5K".

Knowing from his other rides that he has a tendency to like performance, and knowing that sooner or later he's going to ride w/someone that has a '07 CVO that may have been "hopped" up a little. After that it's going to be a "done deal". Now it's just to determine when this will happen?

I never have either. But an extra ecm? The only thing was on the last bike was pipes,air filter. Lots of goodies was taken off the 04 seeg and swaped over. Good luck with the warranty.

I gotta leave this one until this poll goes a little further (but I'm gonna figure out how to keep my warranty with this one). I already bought the oil level/temp dipstick as well. Need fog lights on it. Maybe I'll surprise you, maybe not. And now, Drumroll Please......... You hit the nail on the head, its bad enough to come here and hear/see what others are doing. But then you get together with some of the members see what they have done in person, hear there bikes, then ride w/them and your straining the hell out of your motor to keep up.

All I can say is he better stay away from the "HBRR's" (Hillbilly Rocket Rider's) for two years for sure. Don't even want him to fine out what a "finely tuned 95ci" can do. [smiley=nervous.gif] [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]

Hoist! I know exactly what is going to happen. I've just clicked over 500 so I know from where I speak: You're going to buy everything, put it in the garage in the corner where you will not see it. Then some time in February some one is going to blow by you up the Taconic & you're going to trun around go right back home and upgrade the hell out of it & dam the warranty

I'll give it all it's got, but it's staying stock (for 2 years, ha ha). So I'll try to hang with the big boys until it runs out of steam and have fun watching you boys keep going. Thanks Rog. I thought about this but I'm not sure what I'm doing with this yet either. The SERK does not come with the light bar with passing lamps. And the turn signals are mounted on the handlebars (which I hate). It comes with the Dual-Halogen headlight assembly, which I installed on my '03 RK. It's not too bad, so I'm not sure if I'm changing it to HID. I'm leaning toward adding the light bar, but haven't decided. If I add it, I'm using the HD Custom Aux Lighting Bracket, passing lamps and relocating the turn signals to it as well. Hoist!

I was fine when Silver & Black pulled up beside me on his TMCC w/the "stock" 120ci motor I could turn him down. Never done the Bassani (I always thought the loop looked goofy and it defeated the purpose of opening up the view of the right side of the bike). Samson was the common option before V&H released theirs a few years ago. So have used two or three sets of them. They were always ok too. Only problem was one set was real thin around where the support bracket was welded on. Ground it off and welded it back up a bit before installation and just used an L bracket and a hose clamp like the V&H's do.

I'd not get too worked up over lack of sensor bungs though. The bungs themselves are cheap and it's no big deal to put them on and, thereby, know you have them just where you want them. If there's not a stick or mig welder at home than cut the hole with a hole saw, do a little body and fender work to smooth down the mounting surface for the bung, and take them to any muffler shop. It's a nothing job for them that they'll likely do for a sawbuck or less in about ten minutes time.

If you'd said before I'd missed it. But if adding front lights which option will you go with. Even there are issues with using them I really like the same brackets/arms that the CVO Glides have used. They look good on a Road King, the look still helps blending the big nacelle in to the front of the bike and you avoid the ugly clunky looking light bar. They look like this on a Road King:

hey d00d. I'm not goin' back. It's all part of the deal. Pipes , K&N, SERT. Been reading a couple of good posts about guys who did this at 1K and couldn't believe the difference and guys doing like me, prior to delivery. Prior to delivery seems to be a must, as these 110"s suck out of the box. They shouldn't even be allowed to send them that way, but that's corporate America. Get it out, fix it in the field. Revenue and return to the shareholders (and EPA too). Don't worry, I'm not going there again.

. I'm hoping these guys with engine replacements are a fluke. If not, I'll have a 2 Year Warranty. Notice I keep saying 2 years. I feel what ever goes, will probably go I the first year. Then I can decide whether or not to extend it. I hope I don't have to. I don't know if I can handle the Hoist Challange for 7 years. That would feel like prison. 8-) Hoist!

). If you are considering the extended warranty you may want to decide sooner then later. I believe there is a cost difference if you get it within 30 days/1000 miles of purchase of scooter, after that price goes up. Along w/that there are several dealers that offer savings/discount on the purchase of these policies (do a search here). BTW - The extended warranty is just an insurance policy and it's not issued by H-D, it's just "endorsed" by them (note mines says: Issued in Florida by the Continental Insurance Company).

d00d, that chit's always in my head (like your voices). I'm just making a consious decision to hold off until I know that the bike is good-to-go. I'm not fixing the factory's screw-ups on my dime. If there's major screw-up out of the box, I probably will do it right away. If not, I'll wait and see. I don't know about holding off for 7 years though so I might just keep my 2 Year Warranty and drop them afterwards. There ain't nothing on these bikes that we can't fix and/or make better ourselves! And you can see, I don't mid treating my bike to goodies, but I'm not paying for their messes. So I won't mind paying a little extra if this thing turns out to be a Monday bike.
