Up here in the Great Northwest, we get very little snow (but if ya ain't heard ~ we do get just a little rain) and can ride, for the most part, at least once a week during the height of winter..... But we are land locked for the most part, can't get over the passes.

You southern cousins (yeah you guys south of the 49th) can't begin to imagine the horror... Ice rain and snow last night.. why the hell did I move to Ottawa again?? At least if you ride a Bombaridier you can convert back to ski-doo in no time.

I put my baby's to rest last weekend, will see them to polish and clean up, but they are not going out again now that the salt is being spread. they are calling for a record amount of snow this year.. thank you Enviroment Canada and thank you Al Gore for global wrming, I can tell you me and my nieghbours eagerly await the warm weather.

WOW, Thermometer dipped down into the low 30's here outside San Diego last night. Snow in the Mtns next time it rains for sure. San Diego county has to be one of the few places where you can go snow boarding in the morning and surfin in the afternoon and be comfortable doing both.

Roger, the only thing more incredible than the generosity and hospitality of you and your lovely wife was that ride around the neighborhood. I never for a moment felt like you weren't in complete control of that vehicle, but you sure put on a show of your skill as a driver. Jimmy Johnson would have been eatin our dust that night. I'd volunteer to be your co-pilot in any race out there.

Had a great T-Day and hope you and Cindy did as well. Please give the lovely Mrs J a big hug for me. I miss you guys.

Snow in Nashville on Sunday and Monday...Ice roads last night in North Georgia...over 1,000 accidents reported! I counted over 45 cars on I-75 on the side still this morning.

Rumor has it that Jim (Jester Whisperer) who lives just outside of Buffalo has moved his entire family to the 2nd floor of their home as the snow is up over the 1st floor windows already. He's had to run some stove pipe from his Man Cave up through the floor joists and out the attic in order to play with his new CVO grill. Hopefully Santa won't smell that great BBQ Jim cooks up and head down the wrong chimney

Yea, on the other side of the mountains, on the west slopes they have a lot of snow, but here on the eastern side we have had very little. Been pretty warm, but drops into the 20's and 30's at night. Winters are alway up and down here, it could be in the 60's one day and snow the next, but just been dry and warm this fall.

Just got off the phone with a friend living in northern North Dakota near the Canadian border. He said that since early this morning the snow has been nearly waist high and is still falling. The temperature is dropping way below zero and the north wind is increasing to near gale force. His wife has done nothing but look through the kitchen window and just stare. He says that if it gets much worse, he may have to let her in.

It was a nice day yesterday so I called my son and asked him if he wanted to ride. He has my old 98 SERG and a 00 Dyna WG, but while on the phone I noticed a bunch of drag boats on the lake. It's the annual Outlaw Run What You Brung drags which happen spontaneously every year, so plans changed quick and we packed some beer and sandwiches, gassed up the boat and went for it. Dam I love living in SoCal.
