I can vouch for Doc on this. I took my bike in to have the compensator replaced. When I got it back it ran like sh^*. downloaded the tune in it when returned from the dealer and sent it to Doc. Whatever it was it was not Doc's tune. He had me reload his tune from the thumb drive he had provided and I was back in business, running great. Thanks Doc!!

Well, all I can say at this point is,,, get a copy of your tune and licence. Turns out the map sent to me was a base to start with. Sure glad I gave the HD dealer $50 to put that on. Now I have to take my bike in for a new tune. It has been an expensive lesson.

. It has been an expensive lesson.
$100 and crap ride to and from to get ignition coil (not the problem)
$450 new ecm
$50 flash wrong MAP
$400 retune
$100 gas to trailer bike to and from tuner
$40 gas to and from HD for wrong MAP
14 hrs time lost
$$$$ spoiled trip to Daytona (spending time with good friends aside)
$$$$$$$$ Pissed off wife (she really hates the "H" brand)
= Lesson learned  :(

The shops I do head work for, provide the tune if you ask for it. They store them all too so if you
lose your thumb drive you're covered.

You paid for it, the tune belongs to you......yes we always provide our customers with a copy of the tune and I always save a copy in my computer for them also.

+1, that's YOUR tune, (unless you get it for free).

I had a tuner in Miami I asked about doing my Porsche.  I had built the motor from scratch.  Did an EFI conversion, dual plugged the heads, bigger turbo, exhaust, custom manifolds and fuel rails, etc.   I had set the car up.

Then hunted down some cat in Miami that had a tuner reputation.  He told me some of the same things.  Told me the tune was his, I had a real problem with that after doing the EFI conversion, custom manifold, CAMS, wastegates, Turbos, Intercoolers, you name it, my work.  I had the car running well from data file analysis but wanted to fine tune with someone better than me on the Dyno.  But he insisted the config file was his.  Had to find another tuner.  Never understood that nonsense.  definitely something to get straightened out first.
