hey,
you know when you finish your ride and turn off you bike . . . there are lots of pops and pings coming from the engine . . . what is that sound coming from? . . . . anybody know?

Normal, metal expanding/contracting as it cools.

Mostly, the sound is from your headers and heat shields cooling off... They cool at different rates because the type and thickness of the metal differs - and the heat shields are solidly attached to the headers with clamps. All very normal... :2vrolijk_21:

Always liked that sound.

Yep, that's all it is ... nothing to worry about. Mine seems to do that much less now (and not as long) since I did the exhaust and tuner.
