Wouldn't that be nice . . . .  8)

That'd be awesome, but not likely. HD is going to catch up on technology in the next couple years, then performance. Look for 2023 CVOs to be awesome.

They definitely have to beef up the oem transmission before they would do that.... 2022 will be new frame and suspension.. First things First. Extra power is always nice, but H-D has other things to worry about first.

What’s that going to be like on a 131 with a stock tune and a cat converter...won’t that burn you up?  I’d rather see a water cooled OHC engine for the baggers.

It will be no different than the current 131 Kits.  They still have cat converter and an EPA compliant tune.

I do think the 2021 CVO will have a bigger than 117 motor.  Not sure on size, maybe 122.

I would say the 122 would be an easy guess for the 2021 CVO models.

Speaking from experience there.

You have yours all back together yet?

How do you like it?  Same ratio as stock correct?  It will just take lots more abuse.

Dave, Gear Ratios are higher then oem... The Grudgebox 5th gear is the same ratio as oem 6th gear... Grudgebox 6th is 250rpm higher than the stock 6th gear... My bike makes enough power so I cannot really feel the difference in the gearing... Still pulls like a freight train in any gear... So I would think my bike now has to be Dyno tuned in 4th?? Something to ask my motor builder about...

As these are all opinions. I say nothing changes except paint. Money is not going to be spent to design and change options or gain certification for larger ci motors which will basically have no return financially. Recertication is expensive. Unless it is already been done, then no major changes, if there are CVO 2021 bikes.

The 131 is EPA approved or Harley would not be able to sell it as both a Kit and a replacement engine.  So no real cost to install it into a 2021 CVO,  The 131 is approved for all touring models.

Just released the 131 for softtailes this past week.

Paint will be the only change except maybe CVO getting as bigger engine as no design cost in that.

Frame really needs to be updated as its going on 12 years old.....

I don't think that it's available in California yet.

I’m thinking no new CVO’s for 2021. 😁

I don't know what is coming but it must be significant. One dealer around here has only 9 new bikes between two stores and has reduced the price of a red and white road glide special, the one with the number one in the paint, which is normally 29000 plus, to just over 25000. They sold a blue CVO limited which is normally 44000 for 36000.
Another dealer I know told me that HD reps are going around to the dealers and giving them some type of rundown on 2021 and were making them sign confidentiality agreements beforehand. He and his family have owned this dealership since the eighties and have never had to sign an confidentiality agreement beyond any language in the dealer agreement.

Id say those reduced prices are just a sign of the times & the current market and not related to any dynamic ‘21 release.  As others have observed (at high volume dealerships), inventory is running out due to less production, re: Covid-19.  The last I heard, the ‘21s will be out in January...I hope the delayed release is worth the wait (new frame, suspension, Infotainment/GPS, etc.).  Would love to see a water-cooled OHC tourer, but I don’t think 21 will be the year.

Dealer contacted me regarding a 2020 CVO Streetglide. $35.5k. Tempting but not right before winter. He ended up trading to another dealer. He said CVO interest was not high due to high price and lack of perceived value. And I agree with him.

I’m still hearing 2022 for frame, suspension and Liquid cooling... Time will tell..

I was just a dealer in MB South Carolina. They had 2020 CVO Street Glide discounted to 36k and ask if I wanted to make an offer. Personally I think the Morto Co has done a great job of cost cutting and de-featuring the CVO's. I have owned 3 different ones and used to think they had all the bells and whistles now they just have lofty price. I too think there will be changes in 2021 and that is why dealerships do not want to be stuck with current models.

I'm not sure where some of you guys live but here in NE inventory is low and dealers want sticker price on non-CVOs!  I would have thought the opposite w/ Covid . . . . go figure. Anyway hoping HDMC comes out w/ a RG CVO 131,  I'd pay sticker for that one . . . . are you listening HD!

K'ville HD has just a few new 2020 bikes left along with a sprinkling of 2019 models.  They stopped receiving any new bikes months ago and do not expect anything from the factory until first of the year.  Nothing about any confidentiality agreement.  The ones on the showroom have been there a while now.  I haven't been over to SMHD in a while but last time over, they had a nice selection of everything but that could have changed in the past few weeks with nothing coming in, new wise.

K'ville (Bootlegger actually) does have a few 2020 CVO's but, as far as the sticker goes, no discount implied...still MSRP.

SMHD inventory is low, however they do keep getting new bikes to sell.  They do have a good selection of new and very good selection of used.  They seem to be selling every new bike they can get.

I think many are forgetting that HD decided to "cut back" bike quantities delivered to dealership at the beginning of the year and well before Covid. So, the inventory a dealership received was already way down. Considering "that", any dealership that still has inventory, imo, is in pretty sad shape.
From what I am seeing, dealerships are aggressively seeking out used bikes, auctions and private deals, to enhance their sales and for some I think it seems to be a good income aid.
Time will tell but I think the insane pricing that HD has got to and the ultra crappy dealers that have emerged have finally hit a nerve with many loyalists. Again, my opinion.

Not always true.  Yes, if that is inventory from the MoCo.

Some Dealers are getting inventory from other dealers, or other means.  SMHD floor has about 1/3 the new bikes they normally have.  I do not know how, but they keep getting new inventory to sell.  Seems they can not get enough new bikes to meet their needs.

They are still shipping bikes.  I have seen a few dealers continue to post "Truck Arrival" days with 4 or 5 sitting on shipping platforms.  So the MoCo is sending them out.  The pace is probably significantly slower, though.
