CVO 110 with HD kit and headwork
« on: February 13, 2012, 08:08:54 PM »

This build is pretty plain vanilla. The heads flow 235 average with 316 peak average exhaust flow is 73%.
All of the equipment is listed on the sheet.
The red dyno run is with the SE 259E cams, Fullsac x-pipe and 4 " Rineharts. The Blue run is after changing the heads, pistons, Jackpot x-pipe and HPI 55MM TB.
Seems to do real well and still pulling on the top.

edit: rem comment on injectors, inline text explains

Do you know the reason for changing the X pipes?   Fullsac X pipe to the Jackpot X pipe :nixweiss:

JW
I know the owner of that bike.  Was at Docs with him when it was tuned the first time with the cam, fullsac x-pipe and rhineharts.  The Jackpot X pipe comes with a 2nd 02 bung on each pipe closer to the Head, makes for more accurate tuning.  The Jackpot according to what I remember Doc saying will flow a little better on a bike with worked heads more compression.

I am seriously thinking of doing the same to my bike, if that is going to be a reliable build for putting 14K miles a year on.

What is the cost of the headwork above? What cams are stock in the 110? Does the TB need to be changed?

Were these the HPI 5.3gps injectors. If so was Doc indicating using what injectors?

The reason I'm asking is my heads on my 09 110 kit are being set up for the Crane 296-2 cam set SE 10.5 pistons and the HPI 55mm throttle body to 58mm manifold with the 5.3 injectors.

Thanks

These are the SE 5.3 injectors and actually the injectors worked out fine for my build.

The heads were done by Head Designs by Dewey. His member name is Deweysheads so I would contact him if you have any questions about the head work.

Nice job on the build, gotta be a lot of fun.  Isnt that Joe's Skunk?

Wasn't that the original pipe from Fullsac not the new "B" version I think its called on the original build.    Doc told me he likes the new Fullsac B version.   Don't know if it comes iwth the 2nd bungs, but if not maybe Steve can add them for everyone  :nixweiss:

Yep it's mine.

Doc told me that Steve is now making the larger diameter x-pipe with the dual position 02 sensor locations. It wasn't available when I decided to do the mods so I just ordered the  pipe from Fuelmoto.

Had not heard of a "new" version. I'd be interested in more information!  Have to give Steve a call.

You can request a pipe with both sets of O2 bungs from Steve.

Should be fun to ride

couple of questions
how much did it cost to go from red to blue?
is that much worth only 9 torque and 12hp?
