Wonder if that would work with women?  Get an ugly one to say yes to a date and then tell the hot one she's obligated to go out because of it?

So you are saying the softail CVO is like an ugly woman......

Have been known to ride either o........ ah, never mind  ???

No, you understood what was being said quite clearly.  You do a disservice to yourself and your point (and anyone else unfortunate enough to follow your lead) by arguing that the 2011 SESG should have an illuminated widget based on the fact that Mother Harley said an entirely different bike happened to have a similar widget.  Especially when you apparently knew of the distinction to begin with and chose not to mention it.  Or, in the immortal words of the great sage Homer (no, not the Homer from The Odyssey, the other one):

Was just pointing out that the backlit widget was on the front cover and what page in the book it was listed.  was just trying to point out where it was listed in the book.  Never ment to imply that it was on the streetglide or should be.  It was early in the morning.  and when I looked later I saw someone pointed that out did not list the bike it was on.  I was trying to debunk the fact they did not have it ready for the street glide but if they had it for the softail and had a picture even on the front cover.

Anybody get any parts yet?

Can we get some pics of the underside of the insert?
Are the LEDs red?
If possible to get pictures of the light assy with the diffuser removed? (in previous pics it looks easy to remove)

That source is a magazine saying the part is there rather than Harley saying the part is there.  For those saying they are going to storm the ramparts at Harley with letters and phone calls demanding (begging, cajoling, whining about, etc etc etc) the part be supplied out of some sense of entitlement or equity you really need to find a source where Harley suggested it would be part of the actual bike you're wanting it for.  That the magazine obviously got pre-release information from Harley is irrelevant to the fact that no one has yet offered a citation from Harley itself.

Don't get me wrong.  I hope someone does.  If you can force Mother Harley to actually give you something more power to you.  But all the sound and fury about nothing so far is.... well.....

But it would look good at night....kind of like the different colored LED's that you put under the tank and frame.

At least with those, others can see them either when you are going down the road, or the when the bike is parked.  This one would only be on when the ignition is on, and only you will see it.  I doubt if my BSR would notice it if you put the freaking bat signal under the tank panel.. :huepfenlol2:

As far as what comes on a CVO and what doesn't ,everything the MOCO puts out usually has the fine print that the majority don't read.
I have seen words like this since my 1997 Fatboy...., from the 2012 CVO H-D back cover :
"We reserve the right to discontinue models or change specifications at any time without incurring any obligations. Some features and accessories are not available in certain countries......"

Now we're talking.........I could get excited over some color coordinated, high-power lasers, esp. if they were sweeping all around bouncing off the trees & buildings & clouds in the sky.  BatMannnnnnnn  :huepfenlol2: har.  :drink: spyder

Screw lasers.  SESG should get some Ben Hur axle extensions!

Old school.....
