Think I will try to get this done on mine this year....have the Orange/Black 2011 SESG and cannot stand it any longer. Can someone post ALL the correct part numbers that are needed to complete this modofication? I know I will have to get a 2012 VIN number, but want to be sure on what I am ordering because my dealer is a little "iffy" in getting things right. Also, how hard is it removing the console...have never done this before? Thanks, Gene

Console comes off with 2 bolts--remove the seat and take off the lower console bolt, and the other one is a small one in the front. You can see it looking down from above, just below the ignition switch.

I purchased online the console using a SG '12 VIN from ebay. I received last week. The dealer called me yesterday inquiring about the bike because another person wanted to buy another one using the same VIN.....maybe is a guy from this site!!

Anyway I told the lady that I was selling the bike and that guy was interested.....I didn't know what else to say..

Just put an order in online.  I did a search with the part numbers and both parts pulled up.  Added them to my cart and checked out.  We'll see if I actually get the parts.

He is wrong...but if he will sell it to you without a VIN that would be very nice of him....

If you look on reply #22 of this thread you will see a copy of the parts book showing the part as "Restricted Sale Part" which means you need a vin from a 2012 SESG to order it.

I asked my dealer the other day and the part is restricted.  I spent almost $3000 that day and didn't get anywhere.
