I picked up the "Silent Gray Fellow" today. They got everything installed and did a "gentle" dyno on it just to set the AFR at 13.6 and give it a nice smooth torque curve and good pull. All I added performance-wise was the Klock Werks Revolver mufflers and it dyno'd out to 87hp/105 Tq, up from the stock baseline of 81hp/100Tq. So not too shabby for just adding mufflers. I really like the sound of the Werks pipes. They have a nice mellow rumble to the, but are not loud. They quiet down nicely at cruise, but will "bark" if you want them too. I didn't get to ride it much today, only put on 50 some miles, but will be putting it through it's paces tomorrow and, hopefully, Monday. Initial impression, this thing is freakin awesome!! Without a doubt, the most comfortable seat I've ever sat in that was made by the MoCo. Not sure about the windshield, I may have to go with a bit taller, or same size with a re-curve. Jury's still out on that one. Sound system is with the new Boom Audio speakers is sweet. Very clean sounding at 70mph. Can't wait to take it out and get some more time in the saddle, this bike is sweet, and the color rocks out in the sun.

Awesome. This is a great bike and I really like your choice of color! Had mine six days today (first day was spent trailering it home and I had work interfere with two more days) and got back from all day ride today with 728 miles on the clock. I really, really like the bike. Even bone stock it is very peppy and responsive and as you said it is very comfortable. Good choice. :2vrolijk_21:

Congratulations Charlie! Keep us up to date with ride reports & pix.

Thanks Gary...yep, she came to me with a few mods already (look closely at the tour pak hinges when I get some pics from that side posted. ;) ) Added LED lighting, with the exception of the turn signals, to the main brake light and put the LED strip under the wing of the luggage rack, so the rear end lights up like a Christmas tree now. :) Had to put the chrome windshield trim on as the front of the fairing was looking a little plain and that really brought it out. Other than adding the mufflers not too much else, right now, that I can think of, that I'm going to add over what I've done.

I don't expect to see it before mod or late November. No big hurry

Charlie
Glad your liking it.
Is there an EAGLE painted anywhere on the bike?
Or is there anywhere on the bike any script that says Screamin Eagle? (like the 2011 SESG tank emblem)
I saw one for a short period and didn't see either, well other than the breather trim that can be bought over the counter?
Congrats on your purchase and good luck with it!

thanks Chip. There isn't any eagle on the bike, well, there is on mine now, the horn cover...Just the normal screamin eagle script on the air cleaner and on the heads. The tank gas cover has a really nice holographic-like etched Custom Vehicle Operations medallion that really looks cool when the sun hits it just right. But you know what, I have the eagle on my SESG, don't really need it on the SEURG. If I'm not mistaken, I don't believe any of the SE Ultras have had an eagle on them anywhere but on the air cleaner. Just the SESGs and the SERGs had the eagles. 8)

The Red/Black that I had ordered wasn't due in till December, so that must the the second batch of SEURGs then. So glad I got the gray though, especially because momma really likes it too and that's the color she really wanted me to get to begin with.

On the 09 SEUC the rear was identified with a stamped metal part that read "Screamin Eagle" and some of us added a little paint to make it easier seen. I really like the LED taillight on the newer Ultra's and your bike but wish HD had put Screamin Eagle somewhere on the rear. But for whatever reason HD didn't choose to ask me my opinion.

Gotcha Chip. It would have been nice if they would have put something on the back of the tour pak, but in actuality, I prefer the rear end being lit up like a Christmas tree instead. I think the 09 was the only one that they put the script on the tour pak, wasn't it? ;) :nixweiss:

I think the Anniv SEUC came painted from the factory.
But not sure. Here's another 08.

I'm thinking about that, but not sure how the orange and black medallion will go with the color...may buy one and hold it up against the bike and see.

I think JR painted his yellow to match. Maybe you could add some gray? ???

Okay, I took some more pics this morning before I took the SEURG out for a little spin today. Took it up to Skyline Drive in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Great road to put some break in miles on. I really like the Klock Werks Revolver mufflers. They have a nice deep rumble to them and quiet down nicely at cruising speeds. The stereo system is awesome and I have to run it about two bars less volume than I did on the SEUC. If I put it where I normally had the SEUC, it blows me out of the seat. Navigation and iPod interfaces are great. Only issues I have right now the throttle grip does not snap back to idle when you let go of the grip. I think it's just too tight on there and just needs to be loosened up a little. Also, I think the clutch needs to be bled. I'm getting "chatter" in the gear box when the bike is in neutral and the clutch lever is let out. When I pull the clutch in, the chatter goes away. Neutral is also hard to hit once the bike is stopped. I think bleeding the clutch will take care of both probably. I put on about 225 miles today and never got out of the seat. Love the hammock seat, very, very comfortable, and the new style handlebars sit up tall enough just right for me. You'll see how high they are in the following pics. Anyway here are the pics. They're not the best quality because I took the pics earlier in the morning and I wanted to get out and ride. But, they will give you some ideas about how everything looks. :)

See, there is an Eagle on the SEURG...at least there is on mine. ;)

This was needed on the fairing, IMO.

iPod holder in right saddle bag lid.

Stitching on the passenger back rest...nice little touch.

This one's for d00d. (Sorry Gary, couldn't resist ;) )

Looks good Charlie.
Now put some miles on it before winter hit's.
How about a close up on that emblem on the rear.

Thanks Chip...I think I got a good start today with 225 miles in the saddle. :) If you click on the pic showing the cock pit you'll see the emblem. It's the bar and shield and the lettering around the outside says "Custom Vehicle Operations". The medallion on the fender is exactly the same one.

Nice photos. I've done absoultely nothing to mine yet save add the saddlebag guard / water bottle holders. Are the tour pak hinges from the moco or aftermarket? I've been thinking about the Kuryakyn covers that stick on so you don't have to take off the oem hinges. I want to do something there for sure.
Can't decide about the chrome windshield trim. There are pros and cons for adding the bling vs leaving it simple and plain. I may have to cogitate on this for while.
Anyway, I like your bike. Nice choice in color. Very classy. :2vrolijk_21:

Jerry,
Those are the MoCo hinges. I had the dealer install them along with the passenger grab rails (those were a must have for momma). I figured if they screwed up the install, they had to replace the parts. :) I hear what you're saying on the chrome windshield trim. To me this color makes the chrome pop out at you and I just felt there was something missing on the fairing. I've gotten a lot of compliments on adding it. (And again, momma was happy that I put it on, so all is good in my little world. :D )

Go to the vendor section and look up ChromeDome MC Products. They made the eagle cover. You can also get a version with an LED eye that lights up. They give a CVO Harley discount also.
