DUNLOP STRIKE

I WAS AT LOCAL HD SHOP AND THEY HAD TIRES ON SALE AND CANCELED SALE BECAUSE DUNLOP IS ON STRIKE AND THEY ARN'T ABLE TO GET TIRES AND SAID SOME OF THE NEW BIKES COMMING IN DON'T HAVE HD LETTERING ON THE TIRES.I HOPE THEY GET THIS SETTLED SOON STRIKES ARN'T A GOOD THING EXCEPT TO KEEP FROM LOOSING TO MUCH.AND THEN IT'S HARD TO GET BACK WHAT YOU LOST. I ONLY NEW A COUPLE THOUSND MILES AND THEN I'LL NEED NEW TREADS.

The rice rocket dealers have plenty of Elite IIIs on hand...  they dont seem to have a problem getting them

The Goodyear/Dunlop Strike is settled and all workers are back building tires - for about 3 weeks now
Buffalo, NY is where the Dunlop Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Tires are manufactured.
During the 3 month strike this plant was only getting about 1,500 tires per day made as a normal day is close to 5,000 tires,
So the catch up is ongoing and there shouldn't be a tight supply for much longer and the tire sales will be back.

Someone told me that was also what caused the delay in the new tire being released.
