Tour Pack Organizer
« on: March 04, 2022, 08:48:52 AM »

I have a 20 CVO Limited, wanted to put one of the tour pack lid organizers on.  Anyone do this with the felt already on the lid?

I used Velcro on my walls of the box itself, with the flush side on the organizer and it works pretty well.
Don’t know if it would be strong enough on the lid. Depends on how much weight you carry there I suppose.

With a previous bike that had a luggage rack on the lid, I drilled 4 holes in the organizers to use the rack mounting screws to support it in place.

I have installed the "Tour Pak Lid Organizer - 53000392" from HD.  I had to remove the original liner but it has been installed for almost 5 years with no drooping or falling off.

Which one did you end up with, and are you happy with it after a season of riding?

I bought the Harley one and Im very pleased with it.  I ended up removing the felt liner and drilling a few small holes in the corners of it and zip tied the organizer to the liner, then put the liner back on.  Works like a charm, no sagging of the organizer or pulling down of the felt liner.  I decided on doing it this way so that I can easily take the organizer to the next bike I purchase.
