OK. Although this thread is old and everyone probably has this information already, I just thought I would share my experience. At the International Motorcycle Show at the Javits Center in NYC last weekend, Helmetsounds.com, a reseller for Sena, UClear and J&M, provided this solution for me.

SENA SM10 DUAL STREAM BLUETOOTH STEREO TRANSMITTER - Converts the audio signals from the 7-pin DIN into a Bluetooth signal and transmits that to the UClear or Sena Bluetooth helmet setup. With this unit, all sources from the HD Infotainment system (phone, AM/FM, Satellite radio, etc.) will be available in your Bluetooth headset. Not sure about CB, but I don't care. It can charge and run the unit at the same time, so the battery will never go dead on you.

UCLEAR HBC100 PLUS - I chose the UClear Bluetooth helmet system because it doesn't use a boom microphone. It has tiny inline mics that hide under the helmet liner in the front of the helmet. I tested it and it works great. The speaker pads can mount inside a 3/4 or full helmet.

J&M SOLO HEADSET CONNECTION CABLE - Needed if you don't already have the 7-pin DIN connector available (needed for Street Glide or Road Glide). It mates with a radio connector inside the fairing. I drilled a small hole in the back of the left fairing compartment on my Road Glide and have it connected to the SM10 that I keep inside the fairing compartment.

STEREO JACK 7 PIN - 01161 (STEREO JACK 3.5MM TO 7 PIN DIN CABLE needed to connect to the SM10 via the J&M cable)

UNIVERSAL EARBUDS - LONG (from UClear) - I bought these because I have a half helmet with nowhere to mount the included earphone pads.

So, the trick is to pair your phone with the Harley Infotainment system, then pair the HBC100 and SM10 together. I tested the intercom and made several phone calls while riding 65 mph. The people I talked to thought that I was just talking from my car. The UClear system eliminates all wind and ambient noise such as my pipes. The whole set-up cost me $360 bucks but was well worth it. It was a game changer. Looking forward to my next road trip.

This allows you to hear everything from the bike But how does it allow you to speak to the bike or CB I must be missing something It clearly says that it is a transmitter.

Sorry, you are correct. I have my phone (iPhone 5) paired with both the HD radio and the HBC 100 Plus simultaneously. Therefore, my cell phone function is independent of the SM10, although I am able to see call data on the screen.

Okay thanks for clearing that up. So the SM10 does not talk to the bike at all.

So I am confused as to what $360.00 got you? You have no way to do voice control of the infotaiment system, use the intercom, cb or phone. I do not understand what good your system is, except for music without a cable to your helmet. I can put up with the cable for $360.00 and continue to use all the other features, that you can't.

That is correct Don that was the point I was trying to make.
The only thing the SM10 does is allow 2 users
with Bluetooth headsets listen to music from the bike or phone without the wire.

I listen to everything over the bikes sound system which in my opinion is not bad plenty loud and clear for being on a bike. By adding the Sena BT10 it  allows you to have wireless voice control of the bike
use the CB and phone. You pair phone to bike Headsets to the BT10 everything works.

The SM10 transmits all sources (streaming media, AM/FM, SiriusXM) to the UClear headset communication system via Bluetooth. Then, the UClear pairs with my phone for phone calls. The intercom feature is also quite useful on the UClear and has cross brand compatibility. May not be worth it for most, since many of you use the CB (system does not allow CB communication) but it does what I need it to do. The most impressive part, to me, is that the mic is crystal clear and is hidden under the helmet liner (not a boom mic).

Look at this site :)
http://shop.ake-electronic.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=79_69&product_id=627

That looks like it will work. Has anyone used it? It appears to require their own Bluetooth send/receive units? It also appears to come with only a rider set and no passenger set. Can anyone provide some more info on AKE?

Cheers Tom

On my BMW with my BMW Bluetooth headset I get easily 12 hours of music on one charge. Works perfect.

I have gotten 11-12 hours out of my Sena SMH10, no problem. Use it with my ZUMO 665.

Am I missing something here- if I got say a Sena Bluetooth for my helmet, what won't work with the Infotainment system?

You will need to get the Din adapter for the infotainment output and plug it into the aux input on your sena headset.

This will allow you to listen to the GPS and other audio outputs from the infotainment....and have Bluetooth headset communication.

But you will still be wired to the bike.

This is by far my biggest disappointment.
