Not for under $1400...Look in the Group Buy thread for a Legend Shock Novelete.  A couple of people have purchased a set recently for $1465, not counting the chrome switch.

I am trying to decide between the Legend system & this setup:

I'd have two questions about that system:  Where does the compressor mount?  What kind of switch is used?

Looks like a quality piece though.

One thing about buying from Legend...they have been around a while and the stuff is proven.  Plus they really stand behind their product.  Just something to consider...

Terry was referring to this thread for best price: ordered Legend Air Ride Shocks today from a Drag Specialties dealer called Cycle Spot (www.cyclespot.com) for $1435.46.  If purchased thru Legend Air Suspensions, the price is $1600.00.  I spoke to Jeff at Legend and he told me that $1435 was an incredible price - it was the lowest price he had seen.  I verified part numbers to be certain I was ordering the correct setup (DS 2401-1001) - and then ordered them.  Jeff also told me that the chrome handle bar switch had to be ordered thru Legend (which I did) - distributers did not carry it.

Good luck, if you decide you will be amazed at ride quality! :)

Well, I went to order the Legend system from Cyclespot yesterday & when I went online they had jacked the price up $100.......

http://www.cyclespot.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?page=C/CTGY/Legend_Air_Suspension_Harley

It's weird, because it is only on the model that I need(all the other models are still at the $1400 price)

I tried to call them all afternoon yesterday, but could never get through to a live person & now they are closed until after New Years.

Does anybody know anywhere else to get this setup at a good price???

John,

I did a lot of looking prior to purchasing the Legend setup from Cycle Spots.  No one was even close to their price.  If fact, when I spoke to the folks at Legend, they were shocked at the price Cycle was offering.  It is strange CS increased the price, (I would call them after the 1st and try and negotiate if I were you), but even an extra $100 is far cheaper then anything else I saw anywhere...

EDIT: I just found the group buy price. Sorry. I'll leave this post here for the one at a time price.

I know this thread is a couple of months old.......

However I'll check with the distributor I use tomorrow to see what I can do on these units.

From the looks of the pricing in the catalog I should be able to pass these along at $1400.00 plus shipping if anyone is interested.

Drag Specialties Part numbers:
99-07 FLT
2404-1001 chrome
1311-0070 black
85-98 FLT
2404-1000 chrome

Handlebar switch DS 0616-0039 $140.00 + S&H.
