I am not one to chase HP numbers but I have been thinking about making two small changes on my Breakout.
My bike came from the dealer with V&H big radius 2-2 pipes that I know are more for looks and sound than efficiency. Not to mention the higher treble exhaust note gets old at highway speeds. To that end I am thinking of upgrading to a D&D low cat. The wrapped baffle should sound a little better to my ears than the strictly louvered baffle of the bobcat. HP is the same according to D&D.
Second I am thinking of swapping out the stock 255 cams for the zippers redshift 587 cams. From the little I have read it should carry the hp and torque a little further along the rpm range while not beating the valve train to death like the 255s.
I do realize the valve springs are also part of the problem but not looking to go down that path yet to keep costs down (I know, funny right). Currently have S&S premium lifters that I had put in at my 5k service. Likely do those again with the new cams.
Does it sound like these two changes will play nice together?

Will work, springs are not terrible. Not the cam I would use but it is not a terrible choice either

You can't go wrong with the D&D, for the cam the TTS-150 works very well for what you are looking for.

Not much to look at, no published specs. Take it from installers and shops that use them repeatedly as a cvo bolt-on. Add a little compression (heads off, milling) and the combination gets better yet.

in order to keep cost down and reduce the noise of the V&H big radius, have you thought about the V&H quiet baffles for those pipes? Might be a cheap way to quiet it down a little. here is what the baffle looks like

Do you have any dyno sheets of the TTS 150 in a CVO 110 with the cometic and/or with your headwork that you can post ?

I generally am to, but I am a decade out of the engine game and even then it was chevy motors so I guess it is what it is.
I "may" go a different route with this. Pondering an S&S 124 kit, but that will be another thread if I decide to go that route.

IME: If you go with a TTS cam, make sure you and/or the tuner have gotten a starter AFR map from TTS. They won't release the cam specs, and it's difficult to get that starter map on short notice. I recommend two weeks head start.

I know TTS does a lot of R&D and make excellent products, but it's strange they won't publish specs. It not like other companies can't just buy a cam from them if they want to copy it. I guess they don't want the average guy to be able to compare it to other cam specs. That being said, I would have no hesitation buying any of their products. JMO

Sound advice on both of the above posts. I trust the shop I have worked with in the past and give them all the time they need. Not one of those guys that "has to have the bike back next week" I will post back up once I nail down the route I decide to go. If a property sale goes well, I will likely go the 124 route. It's not like anyone with an Audie cam pro can't decipher what the cam really is. But for me, personally,
I won't use a cam if they won't even give me the opening and closing numbers. (You can't run a simulation
w/o that. So why bother?).
Besides, The dyno results I've seen are reason enough to look elsewhere.
