Hi all, just wanted to pass along something I started doing after riding since 1969. I came home on a hot day and noticed that when I took off my leather belt the area on my waist was a lot hotter than the rest of me because the leather belt was holding the heat in. So no more belts in hot weather. CAHDBIKER

Without a belt some of us would have to constantly hitch up our pants (common occurrence when the circumference of the tummy exceeds the circumference of the waist). Short of staples or thumbtacks, I guess suspenders (bright red of course) would fix the problem, but then you'd have a much larger surface area retaining heat on your skin. Therefore, I submit the only real answer is the one Muddy mentioned.

Ain't gonna happen. Too hard to keep a holster straight without one (disregard, you're in commiefornia) . Try a belt made of cloth of some sort like a web belt or mesh belt..

Rode back and forth to Kansas City area today for a one afternoon conference up there. Front came through much earlier than expected and a day that was supposed to be low 70s ended up being low 50s to upper 40s with mist. Always (almost) a good day for a ride. But I'd have frozen my nipples off if I was dressed like her!!
