Have fun getting the fairing open enough to try to get the switch block out. I tried and tried, and ended up chipping the paint next to the switch blank. It is bolted in or something. If you press down on one side of it, it will move slightly, but I could not get it out. I was going to put in a switch for my LEDs, but ended up putting it lower in the fairing out of the way because I was soooo frustrated and pissed from chipping the paint.

Maybe it can be drilled out from the top and removed?
