I just called. No title required for this sized trailer in Iowa and if we can't get a VIN we can register as homebuilt. $20 annually.

You mean you haven't bought it yet? Keep messing around and it will be gone and all of this will have been for not!

Mikey it's a done deal :) 900 later all smiles. I'm guessing I can use this for quite some time and sell it for what I got in it or a bit more.

Spoke with Aluma today they said they did that on older models. Not sure what year this is but I'll check underneath after I pull her home.

Good deal, Jesse.  Sounds like a great deal for ya.

Now that you can haul Ruby to your destination, you won't be a'needin that color matched tourpac..... ::)
(I know somebody that might take that off your hands for a small fee...)

She's home.

Any tips on how to stop the ramp from rattling over bumps?

Couple of small issues.

1. The black patches on the fenders are coming off. Any idea how to re-adhere them?

2. The black trim is loose on the guard up front.

3. The ramp rattles over bumps. Gotta be a way to minimize or eliminate it.

1.  Gorilla Super-Glue

3.  Gorilla Super-Glue   :huepfenlol2:

Actually, for #3, you might be able to fit some small rubber bumpers between the ramp and the bed of the trailer, up at the front of the ramp.  By mounting them at the front, they only come into play when the ramp is in the stored position.  HTH

I have never had the town (you don't have to go to DMV in Maine) ask me for a title on a trailer. Even when I bought a brand new 5x10 Utility trailer in 2011 I registered it with nothing more than a bill of sale. I think the issue is value, maybe not. I could be talking out my ass here but given that I have registered boat trailers and bike trailers etc without a title I'm thinking maybe it isn't an issue until you get into RV terrritory ?
Whatever the case, you've got a bunch of good ideas here on how to deal with it. As too the ramp, without seeing the ramp itself and how it is carried on the trailer when not in use I couldn't help you with an idea on how to make it not rattle. If you want to post a couple of pics of the ramp in use and stowed, I'd be glad to take a crack at designing a way of keeping it quiet
