Ok me is ready to swap out bars,{i know there plenty of threads on bars but none answer my specific questions}, anyway i've narrowed it down to yaffe 8" or wild one chubby 578 10" apes,
i would like to know to those that have fitted 578 bars how do you like em?, also am i right in saying you don't have to get longer brake or clutch lines only longer wire extensions?.
To those that have the yaffe 8" bars {which in reality will be as high as the 10" wild ones, from pictures i've seen}, do these yaffe 8" apes have enough pull back?
my criteria is that :i don't want to go above fairing at any cost and i need about 2" more pull back than stock bars with a little bit more height.
now the wild one 578 claim you can pull them back between 11-13", which i think will be plenty {i am 5'11" tall}, however i'm not sure the 8" yaffes will be the same without looking silly if you pulled them back or having a painfull wrist angle, i know they will give me height, and all the yaffe apes iv'e seen have been pushed all the way forward and look to give in fact less pull back than stock.... anyway i'm only guessing.
Any input from guys who have had either these bars fitted, would be kindly appreciated. :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21:

I put Yaffe 10" Monkey Bars on mine and there was no need to extend. The 10"s are perfect for me and I'm 5,9" with a 31" inseam.

I put the WO578's on mine with just NAMZ wire extensions..still getting used to the feel of the bars, but so far they seem good.
-
Thanks guys for getting back to me :2vrolijk_21:
One query though is the pullback on either of these bars more than stock bars ,if so by how much?
-
Wild Hog, have you looked at Factory 47 cycles handlebars?
-
Streetdog,
I'm not familiar with those bars, which ones do you recommend?
As stated my main criteria are more pull back from stock bars and to keep under the fairing.
-
Look at their 10" Assault bars for the Street Glide. Great looking bar.
-
I have the 8" yaffe i think they are pretty comfortable

Thanks CVOmd , they look great ,
what is the pull back like and can you pull them back further than the stock ones? :2vrolijk_21:
-
Yes you can. I have them all the way forward but you could also pull them closer if that is what you are after. When they installed them i was there so they could move them just where i wanted. Even then after a put a few hundred miles on it i had them adjust them again. Since then i put on about 2500 miles and they feel great. I have had 10s on other bikes and i think they are a little more comfortable for me then the 8s but want to keep my hands below the fairing. The 8s do definitely feel more comfortable than the stock ones once you get them adjusted where you want. Hope this helps.

Thanks , they look good ,only issue is I don't think any dealer imports them over to UK , they do look similar to the yaffee's.

Thanks for the info, I am leaning towards the 8" yaffe's , I like the style and if the pullback is adjustable like you say then great.. :2vrolijk_21:

Wild Hog, got them bars on yet? which ones you going with and let's hear a report on how you like them.
-
Not yet, still deciding on it buddy, think it will be the 8" yaffe's , will keep you posted!
-
Take a look at wild ones 10 inch reaper nagger sped perfection🤑
-
Yeah looked at those, but the 10" reapers only advertised having 10" pullback, whereas the 578 bars advertise 11"-14" pullback, I know you can adjust most bars back anyway, but I don't want a weird wrist angle. Cheers.
-
When I talked to Wild ones about that they said you can't really pull back the 578's on a 2014 or newer bat wing because they will hit the tank at full lock. I have to say, they look great and are very comfortable. They have a straighter wrist angle then the 578.
-
Got any pics of your reapers buddy, would be nice to see,
so I take it then if you say you can't pull back the 578 more than stock bars , then I'm pretty stuffed with options then as I want more pull back, crikey this gets confusing !
Pictures would be appreciated, cheers.
