2011 Road Glide CVO Ultra Boom Audio Amp Under Tour Pack
« on: July 30, 2020, 07:37:48 AM »

Hello Fellow CVO's,

I upgraded my Speakers Fairing & Tour Pack Pods with J&M Rockker Series
and then I added the J&M Amp and Lower Fairing Pods and everything is Working.
However the Amp that is under the Tour Pack is Not Powerful enough to drive
the Rear Pod and Lower Fairing Pod Speakers. Has anyone found a Replacement Amp
to Install Under the Tour Pack that is More Powerful than the Boom Audio Amp at 75W/4???
Thanks
Carlos

J&M makes some good Amps, I have a 2 channel installed in my fairing driving 2 J&M speakers.

You are limited on Amps as the HD system is 2 Ohm, you can go 4 Ohm, but output level to the speakers being driven by the Amp will be significantly lower. From my prior research, J&M, Rockford Fosgate and Mother Harley are only decent options for 2 Ohm. Of course the rest of the audio word works in 4 Ohm, leave it to HD to screw up a good thing forcing us to use their junk audio.
