Help with 2012 streetglide CVO audio
« on: September 17, 2020, 07:52:06 AM »

I've always been unsatisfied with the sound on the 2012 audio and the whole thing now cuts out when i turn the volume up. I've upgraded the head unit and fairing/lid speakers as follows:

Aquatic AV AQ-MP-5UBT-HS Head unit
JM rokker xx 5x7" replacement saddlebag lid speakers
JM rokker XXR 7.25" front speakers

Appreciate all your advice on how to improve the sound quality and insight into why it may be cutting out. I am also in the market for a new amp to power all speakers

Inside the left cover is the fuse box. Check the amp fuse.
It does sound like a amp isn't working from the description.
You can go to a stereo installation shop and they can test the out put to the speakers to confirm if it is the amp for front or rear speakers.
You do need to remove the fairing to gain access to the front speaker leads.
